The lost thing

Before:
Evil scientist Stuart testing hair products on crab smells disgusting. He hears a gloppy nose and turns round the Crab is mutating it sees Stuart and tries to kill him

During :
They evil scientists Stuart is trying to get the crab no to eat him so he can can perform tests to find out why the crab got so big and why it mutated

After:Stuart finds out how the crab got so big he learns to talk to the crab and the crab becomes Stuart's scientist apprentice

Once upon a time there was a very evil but kind scientist called Stuart.Stuart was a lonely old man that tested hair products on very random animals or sea life to see what effect it had on them. One day Stuart was in his lab(an abandoned
warehouse)experimenting on a very small crab spraying all kinds of smelly spray. He sprayed a mixture of all the sprays at once and then went to get something to eat when he got back he could hear a gloppy nose he walked into the room and the crab was standing there 50 times its original size. The crab saw Stuart and took what looked like its first steps.

Stuart was amazed but terrified as the crab stepped towards him and then suddenly two little slimy eyes popped out.Looking at the crab up close Stuart could see that the crab had no muscle movement so it couldn't hurt him.Stuart laid the giant creature down on the ground got a knife and took a little bit of the crabs skin for testing he took the piece of skin and put it under a microscope it turned out the crab had some genes that allowed him to mutate Stuart thought it was amazing now he new that he could make more mutant creatures.

Stuart bangs on the ground with happiness and for some reason the crab responds with its own round of banging Stuart does it again the crab follows Stuart has a think and he realizes that is the crabs language he starts a little notebook and penciled in loud bang happy silent bang sad that's all he could figure out about the crab and that's how he communicated with him for years even when the crab became Stuart’s apprentice he wasn't very good he couldn't do anything Stuart just wanted to give the crab a name.

Explanation of Matariki.

Matariki is a star constellation that has much meaning to many people.for sum it tells when to plant and harvest crops for others it marks the Maori new year.

Matariki  literally means they ‘eyes of god’ or ‘little eyes’.It is also a Maori name for a cluster of stars or Pleiades. It rises in mid winter-late may or early June. For meany Maori it is the start of the new year.

If you get up at between 5:30am and 6:30am and look up first you find the pot also none as oriens belt to find Rigel look above the pot until you see the bright star.To find matariki keep going to the left of the pot and find the bright orange star Aldebaran a line from the bottom three stars of the pot to Taumata-kuku an keep going untill you hit a cluster of stars and that is matariki.

For some it was when Matariki rose in May or June. For others it was celebrated at the first new moon following the rising of Matariki. In the 21st century it is the new moon following the rising of Matariki that signals the New Year. In 2015 Matariki the Maori New Year started on 18 June.

Acids and bases

In sci tech we have been investigating acids and bases. We each tested six household substances with universal indicator paper to see what there PH numbers are.
1-6 were acids 7 is neutral 8-14 are bases.
